SchoolsHUB submissions close as funding system transition continues

School submissions and requests through SchoolsHUB close permanently today as the Australian Government continues its transition to a new funding and reporting system.

The Australian Government Department of Education has advised that submissions and requests through SchoolsHUB and via email close permanently from 2 October 2026.

The change is part of the transition to the Education Funding System, which is progressively replacing SchoolsHUB for school funding and reporting functions.

Approved authorities began using the Education Funding System in November 2025. The department says school data collections are submitted through the new system according to existing collection timeframes, while payments to approved authorities are also made through it.

Where to access the new system

Schools and approved authorities can access the Education Funding System through EducationHUB, the Department of Education’s central online entry point for education providers.

EducationHUB provides access to the Education Funding System, funding information, guidance, training materials and user guides. Users access the system using a Digital ID (myID).

The department’s Education Funding System resources include guides for setting up myID and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM), as well as webinars and other support material.

Historical data will remain available through SchoolsHUB as functions transition to the new system.

The transition also affects the SchoolsHUB online funding estimator. The department advised in August that the estimator would no longer be updated with the latest data because of the transition. A replacement estimator using up-to-date data is expected to become available through the Education Funding System.

The Department of Education says the Education Funding System is being delivered progressively, with further functionality being introduced through 2026.
